

The challenge of bad paperwork..
Dealing with sub-contractors whose paperwork is not in order can pose several challenges for a project. The main challenge being that of financial risk. Incomplete or inaccurate financial records, which includes quotes and invoices, can lead to unpredictable cost estimates, and difficulty in tracking project expenses. This results in time and cost to the Main Contractor.
I try to pre-screen a sub-contractor by checking his paperwork first.. is it on time? accurate? detailed? If he is taking care of his paperwork, he’s more likely going to take care of his work as well.
